
Cenotaph Replacement
Brighton Council has established an ad-hoc committee charged with replacing the Cenotaph in Memorial Park on Main Street. As part of the fundraising for this project, residents may purchase engraved paving stones which will be used in the new walkway. To purchase a stone, please visit the 35 Alice Street municipal office or the Brighton Legion on Park Street to fill out a form. You are invited to attend the announcement by
M.P. Rick Norlock and Steven Blaney, Minister of Veteran's Affairs, on Wednesday Feb
22 @ 13:00 at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 100. The Minister will
officially announce the federal contribution of $50,000 toward the cenotaph
project! As well, a local business person will help kick off the
committee's fundraising campaign to help us reach our goal of $50,000.
Your attendance is appreciated and please bring as many people as you can.
