Fire Department General Information
The Municipality of Brighton is a 9-1-1 emergency community.

Fire Services
The Municipality of Brighton is serviced by two volunteer fire stations; One in the urban area, on Elizabeth Street (County Road 2) and one in the rural area in Codrington, on County Road 27. The department is comprised of a full time fire chief, one volunteer deputy fire chief and a compliment of 34 volunteer firefighters and officers. Firefighters are trained to respond to emergencies, including fire/rescue, motor vehicle accidents, medical assists and limited hazardous materials incidents and also provide shore based water and ice rescue.

General Reminder to Residents:
BURNING NOTIFICATION – By-Law
Residents are reminded that they are required to notify fire dispatch at 613-475-2233 prior to having a bonfire (burning brush) or campfire and again when the fire is out – to avoid a false alarm.

Ambulance Services
Brighton’s Ambulance service runs out of the Brighton Fire Hall at Elizabeth Street.
