This community support group will offer
a supportive environment where issues, ideas and answers are shared and
friendships are formed which hopefully will help with emotions and
changes that affect not only the person with Parkinsons, but also
friends and family.
Meetings are held at the Fellowship
Christian Reformed Church, 204 Main Street, the second Wednesday of the
month (excluding July and August) at 12:30. Please contact Lynne Armstrong at 613-475-9267 for further information.
Provincial Offences Court
In November 2000, the Province of
Ontario transferred the responsibility for the administration and
prosecution of provincial offenses to the County of Northumberland. This
transfer was part of the Province's strategy to realign provincial and
municipal roles in the delivery of public services. As a result, the
County was required to establish its own administration, courtrooms and
prosecution services to deal with charges laid under the Provincial Offences Act.
The courtroom in Brighton is located at 35 Alice Street.
