Brighton Computer Club
Our club purpose: People Helping People is assisting each other to understand our computers, and to help those of us who get in trouble now and then. You will find that the meetings are the glue that holds us together. We try to structure the meetings with minimum emphasis placed on administration and maximum effort placed on education and help. We endeavour to have a presentation on a popular subject in the first half, a social break, then a session of Questions and Answers.
The executive monitors the world of automation in between meetings and keeps the membership up to date with targeted emails concerning breaking news that could affect us. New members and visitors are always welcome to attend our meetings.
All our meetings are held on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month at 9:30am, at the King Edward Park Community Centre, 75 Elizabeth St., Brighton.
The Society mission is "To share the Love of Gardening" by promoting horticulture in the community. Regular meetings usually have presentations by Guest speakers. Flower shows are held to encourage members to achieve excellence by example and competition. Activities include a plant auction in May, a flower show in the Spring, an annual flower and vegetable show in August. Also assists with the gardens at Proctor House Museum and other sites in the area. The Society offers a bursary for a student graduating from East Northumberland Secondary School who plan to enter into the field of horticulture or agriculture for their post-secondary education. New members welcome.
Meeting at 7:30 p.m. on the 4th Monday of each month (except in July and August), at King Edward Park Community Centre on Elizabeth Street.
