Let's Celebrate Service!
Nominate an outstanding resident for the Brighton Community Service Excellence Award to recognize their exceptional contributions to the well-being of our municipality and its members!
Award Eligibility Requirements:
- A resident of the Municipality of Brighton for a minimum of five years,
- Contributed significantly to their community over several years,
- Are not receiving remuneration for the volunteer activity or have voluntarily performed duties related to their paid employment significantly beyond what is expected of a person handling that paid position.
Paper copies of the nomination form are available at the Brighton Municipal Office, 35 Alice Street and the Codrington Public Library, 2992 County Rd 30.
Completed nominations forms are due by 12:00 p.m. Noon on March 25, 2025. All submissions will be reviewed and sent to the Community Events Committee to select the award recipient.
To further acknowledge the diverse range of volunteers in Brighton, a second layer of recognition will be introduced this year. The “Spirit of Service” awards will be presented to those who are nominated for but not selected as the recipient of the Community Service Excellence Award.
A special ceremony will be held on May 1, 2025, to recognize and celebrate the award recipients and community volunteers. Nominees will be contacted directly and personally invited to the ceremony.
